THE COACHES:

Coach David Carey has been coaching basketball for 4 years. He spent several years coaching young adults at camps and all-star games here in the Denver community. Coach Carey received his first official coaching position as a graduate Assistant at Regis University where he played two years of basketball. As a junior and senior he received “First Team All-Conference.” Coach Carey received his next coaching position at East high school as head assistant under the tutelage his father Rudy Carey.

From there Coach Carey moved on to be the head Coach of Montbello high school. In his first season as head coach at Montbello, he took a team that was previously 8-16 to16-9 advancing to the sweet sixteen round of the play-offs. His second year as head coach Montbello Warriors finished the season 21-4 with a share of the City Championship and another sweet 16 appearance.

Currently, Coach Carey is in his third year as a head coach at Montbello High School Warriors and will be the lead facilitator in drills for the 2008 Athletics & Beyond Youth Basketball Clinic.

Coach Narcy is the A&B Clinic Director and lead facilitator. He has participated as a student coach in the USA Football/Broncos Football Coaching Clinic and Smokey Hill HS Coaches Football Clinic. He has participated as a coach at the Kenoy Kennedy Football Clinic, LenDale White Football Clinic, Daniel Graham Football Clinic and the Montbello/Green Valley Ranch Falcons Youth Football clinic.

His little league coaching experience started 2001 with the Park Hill Blackhawk’s. In 2004 he moved to Green Valley Ranch to lead the Giants to their1st CHAMPIONSHIPS in football and in baseball. Coach Narcy has made playoff appearances every year had two undefeated seasons. He has won 2 Denver Police Activities League youth football championships with the Park Hill Blackhawk’s in 2002, 2004 for the Green Valley Ranch Giants and in 2007 the Broomfield Flatirons 13/14 year old division Championship with 12 & 13 year old players. Now coaching for the Montbello Falcons he is a delta coach for 8 year old NFC and 13 year old NFC teams in the Arapahoe Youth League.

Coach Narcy’s coaching experience includes championships in baseball 2005 and basketball 2007
His biggest accomplishment is the academic accomplishments of his players. He has had over 80% on the honor roll and not one child has failed in school.

High school coaches from throughout the metropolitan area. Several successful little league coaches from the Arapahoe league and coaches that participate in Denver PAL will be on hand as well.
