Abasse Kaba is a student athlete from Liberia Africa. He is a member of the Rotary Club and plays soccer for the Colorado Rapids soccer team, football for Manual H.S. and basketball at Venture Prep High School. He finished his freshman year with a 3.0 GPA. Abasse excels and has played soccer in his country as a toddler and continues with the Colorado Bantu Youth Soccer Team. Soccer comes natural and as a second nature but he also is gifted in basketball and football. His goal is to achieve a four-year soccer scholarship with a NCAA program, then earn enough money to support his family and move his mother to America.

Absse is a remarkable young man who escaped being kidnapped and forced into a life of a child soldier with a few relatives from a war torn, genocidal Liberia at the age of eight. He has not seen his mother and father whom he has not seen in over seven years. His aunt and uncle are providing a better life and refuge to a series of nieces and nephews migrating from the same violence, thus creating a financial hardship for the entire family.

A&B Co-founder, Ali Jackson has taken on the role as not only teacher at Venture Prep but also as a mentor to Abasse. We believe that as a collective community we can be a powerful influence on the entire family and not just one child.
